WhiteSmoke includes an important feature called "Writing Review".

Following is a breef explanation of the scores in the writing review:

Avg. sentence length - means the average amount of words your sentences consist of.

Passive verbs - means how many times you used the passive voice (The cake was eaten by Dan) rather than the active voice (Dan ate the).

* WhiteSmoke advises you try to avoid using too many passive sentences.

Negative sentences - means the number of times you used the negative form (I am not happy) rather than choosing the positive form (I am sad).

Informal expressions - means the number of times you used slang in your text.

Complex words - means how many times you used long words (instantaneous) rather than their shorter equivalent (instant).

* WhiteSmoke advises you try to make your sentences as simple as possible in order to convey your message in the best possible way.
